We enjoyed two wonderful evening performances of the Pied Piper of Hamelin last week. Year 4 have worked so hard over this past term and were brilliantly supported by the Year 3 classes as the chorus. Each and every child should be very proud of their achievements!
In Maths this week we have been consolidating our knowledge and understanding of fractions, decimals and percentages and we've used a number of different practical resources to help us, including beadstrings, numicon and counters.

In English we are coming to the end of our 'Incredible Sports' unit, which the children have really enjoyed. This week they have been journalists working towards creating fantastic newspaper reports about new and exciting sports! They have been using short, snappy and attention -grabbing headlines, detailed paragraphs and quotes. Next week they will produce a final piece of journalistic writing for our very own Year 4 sports edition of 'Incredible Sports'!

This week we have been learning about Hinduism in RE. The children split into groups of two or three and were given a question related to Hindu life to research. They used books and the Woodlands Junior website to create wonderful posters and presented what they had found out to the rest of the class. We are all really looking forward to visiting the Hindu Temple (Mandir) in Watford tomorrow!
