Week beginning 11.12.15

It is very busy in school as we count down to the Christmas holidays!

On Tuesday the children took part in a reconciliation service led by Father Michael, with some children opting to go to confession afterwards. It was a lovely service and the children read and sang beautifully.

On Wednesday the children took part in a French morning. Mrs Luckhurst led an assembly where the children learnt all about what France is famous for. They then made French Christmas cards, built French structures from spaghetti and marshmallows and had croissants to eat! In the afternoon the children finished sewing their 'Make do and Mend' purses. Thank you to those parents who came in to help-it was much appreciated!

On Friday afternoon one child from each class took part in a very tense spelling bee! Jack represented 4D and did a marvellous job, coming joint second to Isabelle in year 6. The class did a wonderful job of encouraging and supporting him and we were all very proud of him.

It is another busy week in school next week with a Brass concert on Monday, Santa fun run and Strictly Xfactor on Tuesday, Christmas lunch on Wednesday, KS2 Dance off on Thursday and a 2:15pm finish on Friday!
