Week beginning 14.12.15

It has been a fun-filled final week in school!

On Monday it was the Brass concert. All of the children were super stars and helped to get us into the Christmas spirit with some festive tunes.
In RE we have been learning about the significance of Christingles and on Tuesday morning the children made their own. They then took part in a fun run, wearing their Santa hats to raise money for school council. In the afternoon, 4 acts from each class represented their house in our annual talent show. There was lots of variety, from singers to dancers to magicians to musicians! The judges decided that all houses put on an equally impressive display and therefore were all joint winners.

On Wednesday the children enjoyed a whole school Christmas lunch with turkey and all the trimmings!

On Thursday morning the house and vice captains choreographed and taught a routine to the rest of KS2 for the annual 'KS2 Dance off'. The house and vice captains did a fantastic job of organising this and everybody in year 4 was able to pick up the routine quickly and perform it to the rest of the school. In the afternoon the children enjoyed their class party very much. It was an energetic afternoon filled with food, games and dancing! Thank you to all of you for contributing towards the food and drink and to Mrs O' Mahony for organising it all.

I hope you and your family all have a wonderful Christmas. Thank you so much for all of your lovely cards and gifts, you have been so generous. I look forward to another successful Spring term!
